I have to...I actually remember when this happened. I have told this story through the years to different people. I learned to swim at the pool in Bulawayo. I watched people jump off the diving board with inner tubes around their wastes and thought "I can do that". What I didn't account for was when a person jumps with a inner tube around their waste, you go down while the tube stays on the surface. When I came up, my inner tube was floating a distance from me. I had no choice but to swim. After that, I remember going to the shallow end and watching how people were swimming and then mimicking what they were doing. Part fish, maybe. I seemed to have no fear then.
